Q1.Why did you decide to work for Kotobukikai?
A1.I had chances to experience the pleasure of interacting with residents and also the difficulties of handling the feelings of residents through various practical training at Kotobukikai when I was a student. Such precious experiences helped me with deciding my future direction. One of the reasons for my wanting to work for Kotobukikai was that this facility was a new one so I thought that I would be able to participate in building this facility up from the beginning with other staff.
Q2.What is the most impressive episode about your work?
A2.It was when I visited a shrine during the New Year with residents. I noticed lively expressions on residents’ faces which I had not seen in the facility. Some residents were more talkative than usual, some started talking about their memories, and some told me how the time had passed so quickly. Seeing different scenes and being in a different environment activate their brains, so I would like to plan future excursions.
Q3.How is working atmosphere at Kotobukikai?
A3.The entire facility is filled with a friendly and pleasant atmosphere. Each unit has individuality, and our workplace is lively and a fun place to work. I had just graduated from school when I entered Kotobukikai, so I was a totally new caregiver. This workplace gives me chances to improve as both a caregiver and as a person. I often talk with residents and spend a lot of time smiling.

Q4.What would you like to try?
A4.In individual care, each resident receives close nursing care from a caregiver, so I can easily notice any small changes in the residents. I wish each resident to live here as if living in his/her own house, and I make efforts to provide them with individual care so that they can live lives as they had in the past.
Q5.Will you give your message to people who are thinking about applying to Kotobukikai?
A5.Understanding others is not easy. However, thinking about what you can do to understand others will give you work satisfaction by seeing the joy in the residents’ faces. I hope to create a work environment in which we do something we like together with future coworkers.
Why don’t you join us and create the future of nursing care at Kotobukikai?
