Q1.Why did you decide to work for Kotobukikai?
A1.When I talked to people working at welfare facilities at the joint company information session for the first time, I realized that they were mild and kind. At a later date, I visited their facilities and noticed that not only the staff but also the elderly living there were calm and gentle. When the head of the facility told me that the founding philosophy of Kotobukikai is “To Love and Serve,” I realized where the atmosphere I had felt from the staff and residents came from. I, then, decided to engage in welfare and enter Kotobukikai.
Q2.What is the most impressive episode about your work?
A2.After having just entered Kotobukikai, the chief at that time said to me, “Any study and experience you have had will come to good use in this job.” If you have studied cooking, you can talk about cooking with residents. My hobby is playing the guitar, and I sometimes play the guitar in front of residents. Working in the residents’ living environment makes me improve. Those words from the chief made me what I am today.
Q3.How is working atmosphere at Kotobukikai?
A3.The atmosphere here is “calm and gentle.” It goes without saying that we take good care of residents, and we, staff, also care about each other. Especially, there is a culture that we carefully nurture within new staff members so that they can get used to the workplace soon and feel free to consult with us.

Q4.What would you like to try?
A4. Improving employee satisfaction creates a good environment leading to the improvement of customer satisfaction. We conduct an employee satisfaction survey once a year in my department. If there are any items with low satisfaction, we consider them as issues and try to improve them. For example, many employees did not know about welfare and benefits, so we held an explanation meeting on them. By doing so actually improved employee satisfaction. By improving issues one by one, we believe that we will be able to provide residents with a higher quality of care.
Q5.Will you give your message to people who are thinking about applying to Kotobukikai?
A5.I did not graduate from a welfare related school, so I was very worried if I would be able to work at a welfare facility. Especially, I was concerned about working night shifts. Right now, I am the head of the Nursing Care Department, Special Elderly Nursing Home. My seniors guiding me to the right place, coworkers working hard together, and most of all, the calm and gentle work environment relieved my concerns. I hope that candidates will visit us to experience the work climate here.
Why don’t you join us and create the future of nursing care at Kotobukikai?
